Week 8 Part B: Using Blogs, Vlogs etc Plus Adding a Personal Touch to Posts
At Iomi Bake US, we're
passionate about brownies—but not just any brownies. We specialize in brownies
with delightful, unique toppings that set us apart from traditional bakeries.
Although I prefer to keep myself behind the scenes, I deeply enjoy showcasing
the preparation process, allowing customers to see the premium, high-quality
ingredients we proudly use.
One powerful way we can
build meaningful connections with our customers is by using blogs and vlogs. A
blog would allow us to regularly share detailed insights into our ingredients,
explaining why we choose particular toppings and highlighting their benefits or
unique qualities. For example, we could write posts on why we prefer organic
chocolate, fresh fruits, or artisanal peanut butter. These posts provide
transparency, building trust with our customers who value quality and
authenticity.
On the other hand, a vlog
could vividly demonstrate our passion without the need to appear on camera
personally. Short, visually appealing videos capturing the mixing, baking, and
decorating stages could captivate our audience, fostering trust and highlighting
our meticulous attention to detail.
Adding a personal touch
becomes especially valuable when it enhances our authenticity and builds
emotional connections with our customers. For instance, sharing a
behind-the-scenes video of our baking process creates transparency and engages
customers by making them feel part of the journey. On the other hand, in some
instances—such as providing ingredient specifications, allergen information, or
dietary facts—keeping the content factual and straightforward without
personalization is often more effective.
Other businesses
successfully leverage similar styles of posting. For example, local coffee
shops often share videos about roasting beans, and artisanal pizza places
highlight fresh ingredient sourcing, both effectively engaging customers.
However, businesses like financial consultants or law firms might prefer a more
factual, straightforward approach rather than a personable, storytelling style,
as their clients typically value clarity and professionalism above emotional
engagement.
For Iomi Bake US, striking
a balance between showcasing our exceptional ingredients, highlighting our
unique toppings, and occasionally adding thoughtful insights about our passion
for baking will ensure our content remains genuine, engaging, and relatable—without
needing to step into the spotlight personally.
